Sunday morning - early - after a blown tire on the van we made it to Rawhide Fly Fishers. It is private water on the South Platte at Bailey. The fishing is world class as is the scenery. Many of the kids had no concept of what fly fishing involved so the trip up the mountain consisted of much banter about river safety, how fly fishing works, why casting is such a big deal and why we "catch and release". The kids figured out the casting okay but more importantly they all caught several fish. The fish varied in size and 23 inches was the largest - caught by Chris. Congrats to him! The lunch program concluded our "five course meal" series on purpose and what it meant to have a purpose for life that is not self-focused. A gorgeous day on the water and a little meaning to go along with it. Thank you to Rawhide Fly Fishers and thank you for our guide service, Freestone Aquatics!
