We camped on Rawhide Flyfisher’s private property which was absolutely beautiful. The youth set up our “tent city” and enjoyed a great dinner. The next morning was a shock to everyone- five inches of snow had fallen overnight! A great breakfast was served and started to warm the group up.

Finally it was time to fish. Everyone gathered around Clint Packo, learning about the insect life we were trying to imitate with flies. We observed several insects from stoneflies to mayflies to even smaller midges. Rods were rigged with the proper flies and groups set out to their various sections to fish. Even though conditions were adverse fish were cooperating with most of the youth. Soon cold and snow were not even a thought. Everyone had a great time catching fish and enjoying the outdoors and each other’s company.
